The Bay View came under new management in 2008, who have quickly brought the hotel up to the same high standards our customers expect. The bright double or twin rooms all have air con, private bathrooms and fridge. The sports bar serves cool beers at the end of the day and a poolside cafe is the place to mingle. The standard dive package is 5 days (2 dives a day) but additional dives are available each day. What you need to take -- Shorts and T-shirts are the norm. Tanks, weights and weight belts are all supplied on the boat. All other diving equipment can be hired locally or taken with you if you have your own.
The temperature -- Dependent on the time of year the water temperature ranges from 21-28 degrees, 7mm to 3mm wet suits are recommended. Air temperature ranges from 22-30 degrees and it is normally always sunny.
The currency -- The Egyptian pound is the local currency, however US dollars, Euros and the UK pound are widely accepted.
Health -- Inoculations are not compulsory but consult your GP for further details.
Passports and Visas -- A full ten year passport is required and an Egyptian visa must be obtained when you arrive in Sharm at a cost of £15. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months.
Time difference -- 2hrs ahead of GMT
Prerequisite - If you intend to dive, must have completed your pool and theory training prior to the trip, qualifying dives can be completed on some of the holidays, contact the school for more details.
